Our Story
Edmar Oliveira came to the United States at seventeen. For more than a decade he worked in restaurants, learning the value of hard work, discipline, and showing up every day. In 2015 he made a decision: to build something of his own, and to build it the right way. He moved into construction, specialized in tile and finish work, and earned a reputation one careful project at a time.
In 2020, that reputation became a company: MTD Tile & Design. Since then, we’ve completed more than 700 projects across MetroWest, Massachusetts, most of them earned by referral from homeowners who tell their neighbors about the work. What started with one person’s commitment to quality is now a team that carries the same standard onto every job site.
The values behind MTD come from a simple foundation: John 14:6, and its call to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. For us, that isn’t something we preach. It’s the quiet standard that shapes how we work.

Every project starts with a free, detailed estimate and a clear, scope-based quote. Then we do the work: careful demolition, proper waterproofing built in from the start, precise tile, and a finish you can see. We don’t call a job done until the details are right.
